Day 0.5: Lakeland , FL to Starke, FL: 1 state, 140 miles 2.5 hours on the road, 2.5 in the saddle.
Just like the last three trips to Harley Davidson's birthday celebrations, this fourth trip also started with rain on our departure day. So, the tradition carries on.
We waited out the afternoon storm and after checking the radar forecast for the route to Starke we decided to take our chances and head out. We only had a few sprinkles the first 2 hours, but we weren't so lucky during the last 30 minutes to the hotel. The rain did cool the temp down, however ,and we arrived safely.
Sometimes you have to improvise with what you have to obtain the results you need. Good times already.
